Sofia, September 15-17, 2017

The Jubilee Scientific Conference is dedicated to the 100th  anniversary from the birth of Professor Yaroslav Tagamlitzki. The conference program is open for  talks on a broad range of topics in Mathematics, Informatics, and Education.
The Program and Organizing Committees cordially invite all interested – researchers and teachers to participate with talks in the conference program, and to submit abstracts of their talks according to the rules explained at http://tagamlitzki-100years.fmi.uni-sofia.bg. All of the approved abstracts will be published in a booklet of the conference. Full versions of the papers (to be submitted before October 15, 2017) will be published in Annual of University of Sofia.

The lifework of Professor Tagamlitzki began with his papers during the period 1946–1952, where he started studying original problems of Functional Analysis. Through his efforts Functional Analysis became a flourishing branch of mathematics in Bulgaria. The influence of Tagamlitzki's work and personality during the period 1950-1970 was predominant in the Bulgarian mathematical community. Not only was he a born teacher but also his devotion to lecturing was molding the younger generation and his charismatic personality had a great attractive power. His famous seminar for university students and young people was a focus of the postwar development of pure mathematics in Bulgaria. Almost every creative Bulgarian mathematician educated in the fifties was in one or another way linked with Tagamlitzki's seminar(s). (see http://www.tagamlitzki.com )
